About living your own life

There is a lot of utility in listening and caring about what other people think. However, you also, and this is important, need to do stuff for yourself.

 At the end of the day, no one gets out of here alive. That doesn’t have to be a sad fact – let it liberate you to live the life you like.

This doesn’t mean ignoring the opinion of people that care about you – obviously not – the quote simply states, that if you ALWAYS care so damn much, you’ll end up living the life of somebody else.

In a world that often pushes always doing something remarkable – think social media – I like to counteract the “living in the fastlane” notion by slowing down for a cup of tea on a cold and foggy morning – just to breathe for a moment. This is important, as I too spend a lot of the time in the fastlane striving for excellence in academics and athletics alike.

Believe in your ability to live a good life!
